The bar at
the Embankment is as important as the food and the
service. We believe that a combination of classic
cocktails, unique cocktails, ice cold beers from around
the globe, and wines that are exclusive to our
restaurant, create an outstanding bar experience. You
may just feel like you are at a wine bar in Paris,
munching on fine cheese and charcuterie while sipping on
wines with the bite to match their bark. We have a fine
selection of spirits and a staff that guides every
patron to find the perfect refreshment to match to their
taste.
Come in to catch the game on one of our three high
definition flat screen televisions, or just kick back,
relax, and enjoy great music with friends and family.
There are things about running a restaurant these days
that just seem obvious to us. The philosophy behind the
slow food movement is one we consistently practice;
“We believe that everyone has a fundamental right to
pleasure, and consequently, the responsibility to
protect the heritage of food, tradition and culture that
make this pleasure possible. Our movement is founded
upon this concept of eco-gastronomy – a recognition of
the strong connections between plate and planet.
Slow Food is good, clean and fair food. We believe that
the food we eat should taste good; that it should be
produced in a clean way that does not harm the
environment, animal welfare, or our health; and that
food producers should receive fair compensation for
their work.
We consider ourselves co-producers, not consumers,
because by being informed about how our food is produced
and actively supporting those who produce it, we become
a part of and a partner in the production process.”
In other words, knowing not only where our food comes
from, but how it was produced and who produced it, helps
to assure that what a patron receives on their plate is
the best it can possibly be. This just seems obvious to
us.
